Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information JobsRadius (“we”, “us”) collects through the JobsRadius website, dashboard and the JobsRadius mobile app, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Who this applies to
Businesses (contractors) that use JobsRadius, and their staff.
Technicians who use the JobsRadius mobile app. Accounts are created by their employer.
Homeowners whose jobs are recorded by a business that uses JobsRadius.
Information we collect
Account information.
Name, email address, role and the business you belong to. An optional profile photo.
Job information.
Job address, job type, dates, notes, and the homeowner’s name, phone number and email address when a technician or the office enters them.
Photos.
Photos taken or chosen in the app for a job. Photos are shrunk on the phone before upload. Location data stored inside a photo (EXIF) is removed from every copy that is shown publicly.
Location.
When you tap “Check in” or let the app fill in a job address, the app reads your device’s location at that moment. It is only read while you are using the app, never in the background.
Device information.
A push notification token, so we can send notifications to your phone, and the app version.
Reviews and feedback.
Ratings and comments homeowners leave through a review link or QR code.
We do not collect contacts, messages, call logs, health or financial information through the app, and we do not show ads.
How we use information
To run the service: show technicians their jobs, store job photos, and build the business’s job map, job pages and social posts.
To ask homeowners for a review, only when they agreed to be contacted.
To send notifications you can switch off in your settings.
To keep the service secure and to provide support.
What is published publicly
When a business publishes a job, its website and social pages show the photos, the service and an approximate location. Pins on the map are offset, and pages name a street or neighbourhood, never a house number and never the homeowner’s name.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run JobsRadius (hosting, database, file storage, email delivery, push notifications and, if the business connects them, the social networks it posts to), under agreements that limit their use to providing that service. We may disclose information if required by law.
Retention
We keep information while the business’s account is active. When a business closes its account, or asks us to, we delete its data, except where we must keep records by law.
Your choices and deletion
Technicians can update their name and photo in the app, and switch off notifications or location access in their phone’s settings.
To delete your account or any personal information, email support@jobsradius.com or ask your employer. We act on requests within 30 days.
Homeowners can ask the business, or us, to remove their details or a job’s photos.
Security
Information is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access is limited to each business’s own team, and staff sign in with secure authentication.
Children
JobsRadius is a business tool for adults. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We will post any changes on this page and update the date above.
